Looks like the person claiming to have been robbed - along with an eyewitness - did show up after all. Maybe not a done deal just yet. But it's not over, they could still be acquitted. Reply...

huh, fossil, vicky, blmcar, snooze, and all repubs/conservatives/evangelists,etc
you are right in picking on conrad and earl, fire away.
check your facts on Dorgan though.
In 1999 during a republican controlled congress, on the senate floor Byron Dorgan warned that a lack of regulation will lead to more funny money and more unethical business practices, eventually resulting in a collapse and the need for a taxpayer bailout. Dorgan must have had a glass ball that the repubs can't get their hands on, or maybe it was that he was just right on this and all all other idiotic policies during these last two administrations. Dorgan is a valuable representative to all of North Dakota, red or blue. Reply...
Ok, Ann Coulter may have said TWO things that I do not agree with. Otherwise she is one smart and intellegent woman. She is right on, except as I said for those 2 things she said that were over the top..
Now lets talk about some dems that have said at least 2 things over the top also... do you know any? I do. But you will not despise them as you despise ANN COULTER. You hate Ann and Sarah because they are both CONSERVATIVE , SMART, AND PRO=LIFE.. thats it.
Lets name dems who have said at least a couple really stupid things in their lives.. :) Reply...

Great post, Groland. Unfortunately, the right-wing nuts have so embraced their illiterate, ignorant, violent base, that education and intellect are now considered bad qualities. It makes me sick to think of how hard so many immigrants (for example, my grandparents from Germany) worked so their kids could get a good education and have opportunities, and now America's ignorant masses and their spoiled, unethical leaders are just pissing it away. McCain and Palin want WWIII. Palin and her preacher have said Jesus will come back and rapture them within their lifetimes. McCain doesn't give a crap either way. He already has significant signs of dementia and won't release his medical files despite more and more neurologists calling for him to get checked. When I was growing up, Palin and her church would have been called a cult. Go ahead, Republicans, bring on the holy wars with McCain and Palin. Pro-life agendas won't exactly matter when everyone is dead. As far as calling stupid people stupid, that isn't sexist. It's just being honest. If someone acts like white trash, black trash, trailer trash, gansters, or anything in between, it is perfectly reasonable to call them on it. The problem the Repugnicans are having is that Obama is classy, well-spoken, fair-minded, and has served his country and community with integrity, and they can't find any dirt on him so they have to make some up. They say he's hanging around terrorists because he was at a few events and on an education board with a guy (Ayers) who obvioulsy had some serious issues almost 40 years ago. What they fail to mention is how many big-time Republicans are also connected, in the same ways, to this Ayers chap. They also fail to mention that Ayers has, in the last 30+ years become a model citizen and received awards for his service. (Oh, right, the hypo-Christians don't heed the forgiveness thing except when it benefits THEM. I wish I could read their version of the bible, must be interesting). But are we surprised at the level of hypocrisy coming from the right? We shouldn't be. They claim voter fraud but conveniently forget that investigations have turned up nothing. And when the REPUBLICAN attorney general of New Mexico tried to find something, anything, and couldn't, the Republicans fired him for refusing to break the law and make stuff up. There are your family values. Put Obama and Biden records against McCain and Palin records any day. Look at bi-partisan fact checking information and bi-partisan investigation results. Obama wins the ethics contest by a landslide. And he also gets a hell of a lot more done, as is seen by all the work he's done FOR VETERANS and in the arena of foreign relations. Meanwhile, Palin gets tagged for doing more of the same illegal crap in AK and the Republicans try to spin it, blame it on the Dems. Only thing is, there were 12 Republicans and 4 Democrats who decided Palin was guilty. Reply...
Well said fossil. Those three morons should have been voted out of office years ago but for some reason people keep electing them again. But I do know that when it comes to Democrats.....no matter how crooked, evil or worthless the candidate is they will vote for em just because they are a Democrat. They don't use their head or any common sense at all or think about what is best for the people of this country. Reply...

Roon, good post. Rush Limbaugh is far more than just an entertainer. It has been varified that he is 98% CORRECT AND TRUTHFUL with his news reporting....
I don't think NBC, ABC MSNBC OR CBS can quote those numbers. Reply...
I am always amussed when someone points out the ingnorrance of other people. it is you groland who is the ignorant one. No matter who the president is, he can do nothing unless he has those 100 senators on his side. The bottom line is that it is those 100 people who set the tide and determine the future of this country. They just passed the bail out bill, and that bill is wrong, Bush was wrong and so were those who voted for it. And why did it pass? think about it, it's only a 1 word anwser........PORK. How can anyone with half a brain agree that our government should have thier nose in this situation at all. The private sector needs to be left alone to work, It is the policies of our govrnment that has brought us to this point. Our two guy's split, I agree with Dorgan. Who's right? the markets have not recovered and they will not because evryone is waiting to see what these clowns will next. If you can agree that we, as the people of this country should bail these people out with tax money, that we do not have, while giveing tax breaks to an arrow maker in Oregon to get thier sentors vote is the right thing to do, then there is no help for you. 150 billion added to this bill in pork to secure the vote's to pass it. Is this how our govrnment is meant to work? I think not, so before you start talking about how stupid people are you better take a lesson yourself. IT'S THOSE 100 PEOPLE. Reagan,Bush1 and Bush 2 all spent more than we had, All 3 had budget's passed by Dem. controlled congress. Clinton balanced budget, Rep. congress WAKE UP WILL YA. Look at the pork in this bill, it will make you sick. That arrow maker will cost the tax payer's 100 million over 5 years, 200 million in tax breaks for RACE TRACKS and so and so and so on. Get a grip people. I would also like to piont ou that they gave the money to the people who screwed this up in the 1st place. We the consumer's also have responsibilty in this, we deficite spend everyday. And by the way, Rush is an entertaneer. Reply...
Our country will continue to decline until we take responsibility for our actions. The conservative movement has blamed everyone else, while they have been in charge of Congress, the Presidency, the Supreme Court, and Wall street. I though it was virtuous to take responsibility for ones actions? Instead we get Limbaugh and Coulter blaming the liberal elites. I wish we had some elites in charge now. People who actually had the intellectual capacity and foresight to handle complex issues. Funny, in the Army, the Rangers are considered an elite corps. Yet, in politics, elite is a dirty word. Better to be insular and folksy rather than have an graduate education in policy related issues. We got here by electing former Pest exterminators like Tom Delay who famously said "nothing is more important in a time of war than cutting taxes..". Reply...
It is not just spending. I would like McCain to explain to me what victory in Iraq is going to look like? How will we know when and if we "won". As far as I am concerned, our military swore to defend the constitution of the USA not some foreign country. No occupying power ever won the hearts and minds of the people, regardless of our intentions. Our soldiers are dying and our children will be stuck with the bill. We need to get out now! Reply...
I am appalled that some voters can take their dislike for Bush's spending and translate it into a vote for Obama. Amazing.
McCain is not Bush. Not even close. He is the one hope this country has right now. He has the right ideas to take us to higher ground, at exactly the right time.
Obama? Be careful what you vote for. You might not like what you get. Reply...
Who else would Rush blame? Bush and the GOP are responsible for the largest government spending increases and deficits in history. Fannie and Freddie actually did not make subprime loans, but were pressured by the adminstration to lower standards. Your post show incredible ingorance of both economics and history. Please read a book. I would recommend Paul Krugman on econmics or John Dean's take on the new republicans. Reply...
