News Actor Jeremy Slate dies at 80Nov 19 2006 10:33PM
Associated Press Slate died at U-C-L-A Medical Center of complications following surgery for cancer of the esophagus. Slate gained fame in the early 1960s on the T-V series "The Aquanauts" and a few years later appeared alongside Elvis Presley in "Girls! Girls! Girls!" He guest-starred on nearly 100 T-V shows, including "Gunsmoke," "Mission: Impossible," "Bewitched" and "Police Story." Most recently, he was seen in the N-B-C sitcom "My Name is Earl." From 1979 to 1987, Slate was a regular on the A-B-C soap "One Life to Live" as Chuck Wilson, his longest-running role. % |
