Associated Press BOSTON (AP) James Marcou scored two goals and goaltender Dan Meyers made 40 saves as Massachusetts kept North Dakota winless on the season with a 3-2 win Saturday at the Ice Breaker Invitational. Alex Berry assisted on all three goals for Massachusetts (1-1-0). Ryan Martens and Chris VandeVelde scored goals for the Fighting Sioux (0-2-0). Both teams were coming off season-opening losses. Michigan State beat Massachusetts 3-1 and Boston University downed North Dakota 5-1 on Friday. Massachusetts led 2-1 after one period. The Minutemen got an even-strength goal by Topher Bevis at 3:57 of the first period and a power-play goal by Marcou at 13:55. Martens sandwiched a goal in between for the Sioux, scoring at 8:40. Marcou upped the lead to 3-1 on a power-play goal at 14:07 of the second. VandeVelde pulled the Sioux within a goal at 7:22 of the third, but Meyer was solid the rest of the way.
