ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) The Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox have one more day off before beginning the AL Championship Series Friday night at Tropicana Field. DALLAS (AP) Dallas police say Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was involved in a fight with one of his bodyguards the night before attending a previously scheduled team meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell (guh-DEHL'). No one was arrested and no one will be charged in connection with the fight late Tuesday night at an upscale downtown Dallas hotel.

UNDATED (AP) Following four games in Europe over the weekend, the domestic portion of the regular NHL season opens tonight with four games. The defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings host Toronto with Boston at Colorado, Anaheim visits San Jose and Calgary traveling to Vancouver.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville fired offensive coordinator Tony Franklin just seven games into his tenure, pulling the plug after the Tigers' rocky transition to his spread offense.
