Northern names Bullchild assistant men's coach

HAVRE, Mont. (AP) Former Montana State-Northern point guard Leo Bullchild has been hired as an assistant coach for the men's Basketball team.

Northern coach Shawn Huse announced the hiring.

Bullchild was with the Lights from 2002-07 and was an assistant coach at Hardin High last season.

Bullchild, a Browning native, helped his high school team to state Class A championships in 2001 and 2002.

He takes over for Gabe Walker, who has received his master's degree and is pursuing other jobs.
