GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) Great Falls High assistant Volleyball coach Michelle Preston is being recommended for the head coaching job.

The school board will consider her hiring at a May 12 meeting.

Preston would take over for Amy Veltkamp, whose contract wasn't renewed after seven seasons.

Preston has been an assistant for the Bison for six seasons, most recently as sophomore coach. She also works with the Great Falls club volleyball teams.
