Sheehan To Campaign Against Pelosi, Democrats Reaping The Nutroots They Sowed

Cindy Sheehan is saying that she’s going to challenge Pelosi for her House seat in the next election if Gramma Nancy doesn’t bring articles of impeachment against the President.  Despite the absurdity of a Sheehan candidacy, I think this does illustrate just how much trouble the Democrats are in for 2008

The media concentrates relentlessly on the woes of the Bush administration, but the reality is that Bush isn’t running in 2008.  And while Democrats may have rode the “luxury of opposition” (which allowed them deride Republican policies endlessly without having to actually accomplish anything themselves) to majorities in Congress in 2006, right now approval numbers for the Congress they’re in charge of are running in the teens

The reason for that strong sense of disapproval is almost irrelevant.  When voters are upset with the in-power party, the out-of-power party is almost always the beneficiary whether they deserve it or not (which is what happened for the Dems in 2006 anyway).  All the Republicans really need to do to win big in the next election is capitalize on all that dissatisfaction

2008 is a long way off yet, but right now Democrats are on a course for disaster.  Of course, the Republicans have some baggage of their own to deal with (mostly self-inflicted wounds like the illegal immigration amnesty debacle) but still.  The idea of a strong, united and self-assured Democrat majority is an illusion

Maybe that's a projection of their feelings toward self. Regardless, blog is irrelevant, who cares about the DNC, now HNC (Hispanic National Committe). They might get one vote among all their candidates if they don't fly the illegals in the day before the election and give them all voter cards. DNC is history. RNC got incredibly lucky on the immigration bill by being the only people able to back down the Mexican invasion. I MIGHT SELECTIVELY vote RNC if the candidate did his job but most probably will vote for Independent or ANYBODY INCLUDING MY DOG THAT RUNS AGAINST THEM. The GOOD OLD BOY TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS DEAD IN 08!
Get rid of the fake war creators, the Mexico representatives, and anybody else who decides to sabotage my home and my country.

GO CINDY!!! GO CINDY!!! GO CINDY!!! GO CINDY!!!

Posted by repent and live on Jul 8 2007 9:59PM - Someone told me that America is a conservative Christian country.

It reminded the Word of my Lord in the book of Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

I pray that the Churches in USA will find my Lord Jesus Christ someday and become real Christians who find joy in following the Lord Jesus in this small world to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

2 Corinthians 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

I hope that they will not answer my Lord as it is written in the same book of Matthew 25:44 "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

Posted by chris on Jul 9 2007 7:08PM - Funny that this article doesn't refer to the "nuts" in the GOP ranks who cost them plenty of elections and support, whether they be the Pat Robinsons, Eric Rudolphs, Zell Miller, Rush Limbaugh and of course FoxNews.

Taking Sheehan on for her protests is legitimate when made in the context of her position alone, but to paint her as a "nut" and to say Democrats "sowed" her, and then to not discuss the nutbags that the GOP have "sowed" and then reaped, is to persist in your moral vacancy.

The perfectly partisan song of the right deafens them to their own hypocritical natures. When the Democrats do the same thing, habitually saying "conservatives" are (insert generality) they too miss opportunities to talk to people instead of party members.

And this is easily revealed when run thru my position as an official "other" in the party ranks. When a rightie v leftie argument goes down, almost exclusively from the right wing, i'm often able to see the argument for its baseless assertion because I'm not a "liberal" even though i'm not a "conservative".

Go figure, two thoughts in your head at the same time without it exploding, who'da thunk it.
