DENVER (AP) More than three dozen people have been hurt in an accident at Denver International Airport. None of the injuries is believed to be life threatening. A Continental Airlines 737 with 112 people on board went off the runway while taking off and caught fire. Ground crews quickly put out the fire.

UNDATED (AP) Bad weather, including blizzards, has prompted flight cancellations and delays from Seattle to Boston. Snow, ice and sleet have gripped much of the northern U.S., just in time for winter, which officially arrives Sunday morning.

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) Jurors in Camden, N.J., begin a fifth day of deliberations in the morning in the case of five Muslim-Americans accused in a plot to attack Fort Dix. Charges include attempted murder and conspiracy to kill military personnel. Defense lawyers say the men were set up by an informant working for the government.

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) Seven years ago he was captured as a terrorist in Afghanistan. Now, he's a free man in Australia. David Hicks was freed from the U.S. prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in a plea deal and sent back to his native Australia. His last restrictions were lifted this weekend.

HONOLULU (AP) Barack Obama and his family are spending the holidays in Hawaii. The president-elect has no formal events on his schedule for the next 12 days but aides say he'll be getting daily intelligence briefings and working on the transition.
