KXMBTV Bismarck It's been over 30 years since the trim has been cleaned and polished in Memorial Hall. After about four months of workthe job of restoring 16 bronze pillars is done. The work cost around a half a million dollars. It's being done in time for next years 75th anniversary of the capital. Besides the 45 foot pillarswork was also done to trim work around these towering windows near these old entrance doors. Workers also restored the black belgium marble wall featuring the state seal. John:"I just cannot believe the difference between what was there to begin with versus whats now it's just outstanding. I know you all came and got a lot of before pictures and I mean its just...I had no idea that they could get it to this kind of condition again it's just spectacular." There are plans for more work in the future. The commission plans to clean the rest of the stonework in the future. By the way, the state Christmas Tree will be lit Dec 9th.
