If they do, lawmakers say they'll reconsider the package next month in a second lame-duck session. NEW YORK (AP) The Associated Press says it's going to trim 10 percent of its work force over the next year. CEO Tom Curley says the declining economy and a reduction in fees paid by member newspapers are taking their toll. PHILADELPHIA (AP) A federal appeals court says parents cannot sue school districts to force them to comply with the No Child Left Behind Act. The ruling comes in a case filed by parents against the low-performing public schools in Newark, New Jersey. CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) Spacewalking astronauts have performed more repair work on a jammed joint on a solar wing at the international space station.
