Fashion at the Mall

It may not be fashion week, but it was fashion Saturday at the Dakota Square Mall today.

Some of the areas amateur models made their very first trip down the runway to show off the latest fashions from Scheels Sporting Goods.

Models ranged from young to middle-aged, with a few animated performers as well.

There were sections for winter-wear, active wear, even casual wear, and both audience members and runway models seemed to enjoy the event.

The fashion show was part of a senior project by Minot-state-university" class="kxInlineLink">MSU Broadcasting Student and Scheels employee, Nicki Head.

She says overall, it was a great experience, but also a lot of work.

(Nicki Head, Fashion Show Coordinator) "The hardest part was models. I did get a lot of models to get here, but a couple of them called in sick and the hardes part is picking out the outfits, they're not here to try it on until the day of. And a lot of the outfits weren't working well, but we made it fit."

Many of the models were fellow broadcasting students from Minot State and Head says she's very thankful to everyone that helped out. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
