Associated Press Washington (AP) Despite the efforts of the Federal Reserve, Wall Street investors are still showing signs of nervousness. The Fed cut its closely watched federal funds rate to 1.5 percent. Still, the Dow dipped again today, this time 189 points. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Insurance giant AIG is getting another helping hand from the Federal Reserve. AIG will be loaned up to 37.8 billion dollars. That's on top of the 85 billion it was loaned last month when it was on the brink of failure. BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) John McCain says he'll balance the federal budget despite the nation's deepening economic distress. McCain didn't say whether it would take 4 or 8 years should he be elected. McCain says he would "confront" the whopping federal debt. WASHINGTON (AP) It's a first for Esquire magazine: a presidential campaign endorsement. Esquire says Barack Obama is "the only possible choice." It says John McCain has run what it calls a "cheap and dishonorable campaign," and that sarah palin is "stunningly unqualified." DENVER (AP) Prosecutors say a grand jury has indicted a suspect on murder charges in the drive-by shooting of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
