MINOT, N.D. (AP) Two people were arrested after a high-speed chase in the Minot area that brought in three law enforcement agencies.

Minot Police Sgt. Chad Eagleson says it began around 12:30 Friday morning with a report of someone stealing beer at a convenience store and then a pursuit of the suspect vehicle at speeds of 100 miles per hour before the chase ended near Velva.

He said the driver, 44-year-old W.J. Wilson Jr., is charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, fleeing, and theft. A passenger, 38-year-old Nicole Gardon, is charged with possession of marijuana.

Both are believed to be from the Minot area.
