North Dakota Republicans are heading home from the national convention energized.

State Chairman of the Republican Party, Gary Emineth, says John McCain gave a more serious speech last night focusing on the campaign and what he represents.

He says there's good contrast between McCain and VP nominee sarah palin.

And according to Emineth having Palin on the Republican ticket is critical in getting the vote of North Dakotans...

(Gary Emineth) "Having her on the ticket was critical to ND, because of position with guns, right to life. I've had so many calls from women, moms. Men are more engerized than moms out there. I think see if can get her out to ND and get our team organized will make all the difference."


Emineth says the Obama campaign is increasing its campaign efforts to change North Dakota to a blue state.
