According to excerpts, the Alaska governor says some candidates use change to promote their careers, and then there are others like John McCain who use their careers to promote change. ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) John McCain is in Minnesota for the Republican National Convention. He was greeted at the airport by his wife Cindy, their children, and running mate Sarah Palin. McCain will accept the GOP nomination tomorrow. NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (AP) Barack Obama is pouncing on John McCain's top aide's claim that the campaign is not really about the issues, but personalities. Obama says McCain is running away from his party's bad economic record. NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) Forecasters say Hurricane Ike is a Category 3 storm with winds near 115 miles-per-hour. It's far out in the Atlantic, and it's not known if it will threaten land. Meanwhile, forecasters say Tropical Storm Hanna, which may pose a threat to the lower Atlantic coast, could become a hurricane again. ATLANTA (AP) According to a survey by the Transportation Department, Delta Air Lines' regional subsidiary Comair had the worst on-time performance in July.
