ND superdelegate favors ObamaFeb 29 2008 9:34AM
Associated Press Bismarck, N.D. (AP) North Dakota's Democratic national committeewoman is endorsing Barack Obama for president. Renee Pfenning's choice means that six of North Dakota's seven Democratic superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention are backing Obama. The seventh is state party chairman David Strauss, and he has said he's staying uncommitted. Obama won North Dakota's Democratic presidential caucuses on Feb. 5 with 61 percent of the vote. Pfenning says Obama's showing and his North Dakota campaign efforts influenced her to favor him, instead of Hillary Rodham CLinton. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
