Washington (AP) John McCain is stepping up his criticism of Barack Obama the morning after each man won a pair of presidential nominating contests.

In an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," McCain suggested Obama lacks the experience and judgment on foreign policy and defense matters that a president needs to have.

McCain says the country faces a lot of national security challenges and declares: "I know how to handle them." Obama won the Wisconsin Democratic primary and the Hawaii caucus, while McCain won Republican primaries in Wisconsin and Washington state.

McCain has a virtual lock on the GOP nomination. The delegate count is much closer in the Democratic race.
