Meth use on the decline in Twin Cities metro areaJan 28 2008 10:03PM
Associated Press The meth number was down from five percent in 2004. And the report released by the state Department of Human Services says similar declines were found among ninth graders and statewide. Carol Falkowski, who wrote the report, says the data on students doesn't necessarily mean meth use is down overall. But she says it is possible that meth abuse is finally stalling, or even dropping. Out of all drugs, the report says, alcohol remains the most widely abused. A steady 61 percent of high school seniors reported that they had consumed alcohol within the past year.
