Killdeer, N.D. (AP) Dunn County officials are trying to raise 7 million dollars for an indoor rodeo and events center in Killdeer.

The 91,000-square-foot High Plains Cultural Center envisioned by the Dunn County Fair Association also would include a large gathering facility, technology center, commercial kitchen, tourism center and plaza.

Architectural drawings are complete. No one has committed any money yet, but the Fair Association hopes to have the center finished in 2010. A Dickinson consultant has been hired to help with fundraising.

Ground is to be broken for the project when half of the money is pledged or donated.
