Associated Press STATE DEPARTMENT (AP) The State Department says the United States and Iraq will jointly investigate allegations that private guards killed Iraqi civilians. At least 11 people were killed in Sunday's incident. The investigation would also review the U.S. Embassy's security practices. LAS VEGAS (AP) He's posted bail now he's out of jail. O.J. Simpson was released on bond today after being arraigned in connection with the alleged armed robbery of sports memorabilia collectors at a Las Vegas hotel. Simpson spent three nights in jail following his arrest on Sunday. NEW YORK (AP) CBS says a lawsuit filed by its former chief anchor, Dan Rather, is "without merit." Rather is suing the network for 70 million dollars, alleging that it made him a "scapegoat" for a discredited story about President Bush's National Guard service. JENA, La. (AP) Jena (GEE'-nuh), Louisiana, is bracing for a civil rights protest tomorrow. Demonstrators plan to rally in support of several black teenagers who were charged with felonies for beating a white classmate. Racial tensions had been high after nooses were placed on a tree at the Jena's high school campus. CAPITOL HILL (AP) In the wake of huge recalls of lead-contaminated toys, the Consumer Product Safety Commission says it needs more resources to deal with the problem.
