Grand Teton biologists euthanize problem bearJun 23 2007 2:33PM
Associated Press Park officials say the 150-pound male bear had repeatedly come near humans and obtained human food. The bear was trapped and fitted with a radio collar earlier this month so park officials could track its movements. Yesterday, the bear was given food at a backcountry campsite. Then it pushed against windows at Jenny Lake Lodge and peered into the building before scaling a six-foot fence to get to the lodge's kitchen. When park rangers responded, the bear charged them.
